Wedding website
A considered invitation with practical guest tools.

The project
A wedding website developed with coding agents, combining a custom visual direction with the practical details guests need. The public site brings together the schedule, venues, accommodation, FAQs and RSVP flow, while hosts manage invitations and replies in a protected dashboard.

Design brief & personalisation
The brief was to create a wedding website that felt like a personal invitation, with an editorial layout, expressive typography and a warm, restrained palette. Personalisation went beyond the names and date: I developed custom illustrated icons drawn from the couple’s life, including their dog, Barney. He appears in champagne and disco-ball illustrations, adding a recognisable personal detail to the page and RSVP confirmation while keeping the practical information clear.

The guest experience
The invitation introduces the couple and event, then leads into the schedule, venue directions, accommodation and FAQs. Calendar download, countdown and responsive layouts support planning across devices.
Invitation dashboard
Hosts can create guest and household invitations, set guest limits and review RSVP status and song requests. Invitation-specific links and matching emails connect guests to their reply, while responses and updates persist in D1. The dashboard is protected separately from the public wedding website.

Iteration and validation
The work included repeated visual refinement of typography, spacing and motion, alongside checks for RSVP updates, guest limits and dashboard access. Keyboard focus and reduced-motion behaviour were also considered.
